I'm diabetic and a friend of mine recently told me that because of this, I shouldn't continue using the EAS Phosphagen I bought. Why should diabetics not use creatine?

I disagree with your friend, I'm a diabetic too, I also bought EAS Phosphagen. I guess your friend is telling you this because it contains 60 grams of sugar, but if you take it after your workout it will go right to your muscles and not affect your sugar levels that much (I tested it by checking my sugar levels one hour after I tooked it). Do the same thing, you'll see it doesn't affect your sugar levels that much, it goes right to your muscles.
